The past few months have been nothing but fun for my family. From traveling to Baton Rough, LA to our little guy starting swim classes and now music classes and my wife and I: trying to date every weekend it been a ball. We have had our fair share of ups and downs the past few months as well but overall we've decided to focus on the newness that God is creating in our lives. That means reassessing what family and friends really mean to us and making shifts in relationships that have been toxic in our lives. With our son getting bigger everyday and his personality blossoming more and more it's hard to imagine that in less than 2 months he'll be a year old. He's brought so much joy to our family and realizing the 5 years it took for us to be Blessed with him was worth it. He's really helped me understand how important and valuable my presence in his life is especially not having my father in my life. He's even helped me value and understand the example I am to be in his life and as the head of my family. With us keeping our son so active in weekly activities it's fun knowing that he;'s enjoying them as much as my wife and I. From taking swim classes this summer to music class this fall which he seems to really enjoy with all the instruments. He really loves music and loves dancing anytime it comes on. We've even caught him lifting his hands to the sky with closed eyes as we've played worship music. He's super ambitious and is always full of energy. I'm looking forward to him walking but yet scared at the same time because I know without a shadow of doubt I haven't prepared physically to keep up with him the way I wanted to. Every experience with our son these past few months have all been a first for me. From swimming classes which is something I never did as a child to taking music classes that didn't have anything to do with school it fun knowing that he'll have a better opportunity at experiencing new things that I didn't have the pleasure of experiencing. With it being fall I'm really looking forward to taking him to the local apple orchard to eat apples, donuts and drink cider. I must say in the past I've always worried about what people thought concerning the many things my wife and I strive to get our son involved in. But I've realized how important it is not only to ignore what others think but to focus on what's best for your own family. Overall my family and I are just enjoying life together as well as being lead by God for what's next in our lives.
