Join us on our journey to becoming debt free! This journey started for us when we were first married May 23, 2009. I was the ripe age of 20, and my wife, 25. At that time we didn't have a clue about the hardships we would endure financially, but after almost 6 years of marriage, we have finally begun to see the fruit of our labor manifest. This is in spite of our struggles, mishaps and disobedience. While we haven’t mastered it all, we are well on our way to becoming debt free.
This past November, after the birth of our son, we realized how serious we needed to become. With the cost of childcare we knew that one of us would need to stay home, and after weighing the options, we determined that it would be best if I stayed. While we understood that financially it was the best choice, mentally it was difficult to understand how our household would run on one income, but we had enough faith in God to believe.
Finances can affect not only the household, but also your marriage. So how are we managing? With being married at such a young age we have learned the importance of being led by God and having open dialogues. Also, my wife Ciji is a therapist and this means that I have no choice but to talk! LOL. However, to sum it up we have learned to operate as a team!
By no means are we money experts but we have gained enough knowledge in our 6 years of marriage than most will ever gain in a lifetime. Our only mission and goal is to share this wealth of knowledge that has been given to us to others. Ciji and I have had many ups and downs financially, as well as many highs and lows, but we are confident enough in God to know that he will help us navigate through this life, and guide us in making the right choices financially, to build a legacy of wealth for our family.
Please join us on our journey, as we shed some light on things that have been given to us, as we build a legacy of wealth for our lineage and as we help you build a legacy of wealth for your family. You can just call me “Daddy on a Dime.”
